Sashakt Scholarship 2025 is a transformative initiative by Dr. Reddy’s
Foundation, designed to inspire and empower young women across India to pursue
higher education in science. This unique program specifically targets
academically talented female students, with a strong emphasis on those from
rural and underprivileged socio-economic backgrounds, aiming to provide them
with equal access to some of India’s most prestigious science institutions
PURPOSE AND VISION
The scholarship’s core
objective is to bridge the gender gap in science by supporting promising young
women at the critical transition from school to college. By offering financial
aid and dedicated mentorship, the program seeks to nurture the next generation
of women scientists and leaders in the field
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To apply for the Dr Reddy
Foundation Sashakt Scholarship 2025, candidates must meet the following
requirements:
- Be an Indian citizen.
- Be a female student.
- Have completed Class 12 from a
recognized board with a strong academic record.
- Have secured admission to B.Tech., MBBS,
or B.Sc. (Natural/Pure Sciences) at one of the 12 specified top science
colleges in India.
- Preference is given to applicants from
rural areas, those facing financial hardship (household income below ₹5,00,000
per annum), and those with a demonstrated interest in scientific research
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS
Selected scholars, known as
fellows, will receive a total grant of INR 2.4 lakhs, disbursed as INR 80,000
annually over three years of undergraduate study. This financial support covers
tuition fees, study materials, and basic living expenses, ensuring that
recipients can focus on their education without economic barriers.
Beyond financial aid, the
program offers:

scientists, providing guidance and inspiration throughout the scholars’

APPLICATION PROCESS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Applications open on 1 June
2025, with the final submission deadline being 30 October 2025. Only students
with confirmed admission to one of the listed science colleges are eligible to
apply.
Applicants must submit:
- Class 12 marksheet
- Class 10 certificate or equivalent
- Income certificate (if applicable)
- Disability certificate (if applicable)
