In a significant stride
towards inclusive healthcare education, the Sasakawa-India Leprosy Foundation
(S-ILF) announces its Nursing Scholarship 2025–26 for students residing in self-settled
leprosy colonies. The initiative is targeted at students who are either
personally affected by leprosy or have at least one parent who has experienced
the disease. By supporting these aspiring nurses, S-ILF seeks to combat stigma,
build confidence, and foster financial independence through professional
education.
ELIGIBILITY THAT ENSURES INCLUSION
The scholarship is designed
for students pursuing B.Sc. Nursing (Basic) and General Nursing & Midwifery
(GNM) degrees, and applicants must meet the following conditions:

framework ensures that students from vulnerable communities can access
high-quality healthcare education.

A STEP TOWARD DIGNITY AND EMPOWERMENT
The Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation’s Nursing Scholarship is not just about financial assistance — it's about restoring dignity, breaking stigma, and creating a future where children of leprosy-affected families can become respected healthcare professionals. By investing in the education of young caregivers from marginalized backgrounds, S-ILF continues to champion equality, opportunity, and social justice in India's healthcare landscape.
