The IET India Scholarship
Award is widely recognized as one of India’s most prestigious scholarship
programs dedicated to undergraduate engineering students. Established by the Institution
of Engineering and Technology (IET), the award serves as a platform to identify
and nurture young engineering minds, celebrating innovation, creativity,
leadership, and academic excellence.
Now entering its 9th edition,
the program continues to provide support and recognition to engineering
students from all academic years (1st to 4th year). What makes this scholarship
particularly accessible is that applications are completely free of cost,
encouraging broader participation across diverse backgrounds.
With a total scholarship
fund of INR 10,00,000, the program provides a golden opportunity for students
to showcase their talents and secure financial rewards, along with mentorship
and industry exposure through IET India’s vast network.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Open to students from 1st to 4th year of
full-time undergraduate engineering programs (any stream), approved by AICTE/UGC.
- Applicants must have cleared all credit
courses in a single attempt.
- A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.0
CGPA on a 10-point scale is required.
- There is no age limit, and lateral entry
students are also eligible.
- Open to both IET members and non-members.
SELECTION PROCESS AND REWARDS
The selection process is
divided into Regional Rounds and a National Final. There are five regional
centres: Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.
Regional Round Prizes:
- Winner: INR 60,000 + Trophy +
Certificate + IET Membership (1 year)
- Runner-up: INR 40,000 + Trophy +
Certificate + IET Membership (1 year)
National Final Prizes:
- Winner: INR 3,00,000 + Trophy +
Certificate + IET Membership (1 year)
- 1st Runner-up: INR 1,70,000 + Trophy +
Certificate + IET Membership (1 year)
- 2nd Runner-up: INR 1,50,000 + Trophy +
Certificate + IET Membership (1 year)
Note: If a student wins at
both regional and national levels, the national-level prize money is awarded,
and certificates are given for both stages.
APPLICATION AND DEADLINE
- No documents are required at the time of
application.
