Foundation Scholarship 2025 has officially opened its application process,
offering a valuable opportunity for meritorious yet economically disadvantaged
female students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies in science,
engineering, pharmacy, nursing, and related fields. Established with the
mission to empower women through education, the foundation has transformed the
lives of over 10,000 girls since its inception.
SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW
The scholarship
provides financial assistance up to ₹80,000,
depending on the course and location, aimed at supporting tuition fees, study
materials, and other academic expenses. It is available for students enrolled
in various programs such as Bachelor of Engineering (including after diploma),
B.Sc. Nursing, Pharmacy, and postgraduate courses in fields like Computer
Science, Biotechnology, Nursing, and Microbiology.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Gender and Age: Only female
candidates, typically aged below 30 years, are eligible.
- Academic Qualification: Students
must have secured admission in recognized undergraduate or postgraduate
courses in relevant streams.
- Income Limit: The annual family
income should generally be below ₹3,50,000,
targeting girls from economically weaker or lower-middle-class families.
- Geographical Focus: The scholarship
primarily serves students from Pune, Hyderabad, Wardha, Amravati,
Bengaluru, and surrounding districts.
- Academic Performance: A minimum of
60-70% marks in Class 10 and 12 or equivalent examinations is required,
depending on the course and region.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applications for the
academic year 2025–26 opened on July 1, 2025, and candidates can apply
online. The application fee is ₹300, payable online and
non-refundable. Applicants must submit verified documents including mark
sheets, admission proof, income certificates, and identity proofs. The
selection process involves a rigorous evaluation of academic merit, financial
need, and a personal interview.
BENEFITS AND SUPPORT
Selected scholars,
affectionately called "LILA Girls," receive monetary grants that help
cover tuition and related educational expenses for the duration of their
courses, typically spanning three to four years. Beyond financial aid, the
foundation provides orientation and skill-building programs to enhance the
personal and professional development of the awardees.
