Apni Shala Fellowship 2025 for UG Students Applications Open

 

The Apni Shala Fellowship 2025 is a one-year, full-time, paid program aimed at transforming public schools by integrating Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and mental well-being education. This unique initiative seeks to build a compassionate network of youth who will collaborate with students, teachers, and school stakeholders to create safe, caring, and emotionally resilient learning environments. Fellows will receive rigorous training to develop facilitation skills and implement SEL programs using innovative tools such as drama, art, storytelling, and games.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Criteria	Details
Educational Qualification	Graduate degree in any discipline OR at least six months of volunteering/working experience with children/adolescents in a formal setting along with a graduate degree.
Language Proficiency	Fluency in reading and writing English, along with fluency in speaking either Hindi or Marathi.
Communication Skills	Excellent communication skills and initiative-taking ability.
Openness to Feedback	Willingness to receive constructive feedback and commitment to professional growth.
Time Commitment	Dedication to a full-year program starting anytime after June 1, 2025.
Work Location	Readiness to work in Mumbai’s municipal schools and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school stakeholders.

 

FELLOWSHIP BENEFITS

Benefit	Details
Monthly Allowance	Rs. 25,000 per month stipend.
Travel Reimbursement	Up to Rs. 2,000 per month for travel expenses.
Certification	Fellows will receive a Certified Apni Shala Fellow certificate upon successful completion.
Extension Opportunity	Eligible fellows can apply for a second-year fellowship, specializing in areas such as fundraising, communications, curriculum development, or advocacy.
Professional Growth	Extensive training in SEL facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and educational leadership.
