he detailed list of
preferred eligible colleges is officially published and accessible via the
scholarship’s application platform. Candidates must come from families where
the annual income does not exceed ₹6
lakhs. Importantly, students already receiving any other scholarships or
tuition fee waivers for their engineering course are not eligible to apply for
this scholarship. Further, children or immediate family members of employees of
IDFC FIRST Bank or Buddy4Study, the facilitation partner, are excluded from
participation. Diploma students, part-time, distance learning, dual-degree, and
student exchange program participants are also ineligible.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected students receive
financial assistance of ₹1 lakh per year for a
maximum tenure of four years, with the total scholarship amounting to ₹4
lakhs over the course duration. The scholarship covers either the actual
tuition fee or ₹1,00,000 per annum,
whichever is lower. Continuity of the scholarship requires recipients to meet
specific renewal criteria each academic year, such as maintaining satisfactory
academic performance. This sustained financial support relieves students and their
families of the significant burden of engineering education costs, allowing
recipients to focus on their studies and skill development.
Required Documents
Applicants must provide a
set of verified documents to complete their applications. These include the
birth certificate as proof of age, official admission proof detailing the
institution, year of admission, and batch, along with a fee receipt from the current
academic year. Additionally, income proof issued by authorized government
bodies such as a Tehsildar or Magistrate is required, or alternatively,
notification under section 143(1) of the Income Tax Act may be submitted.
Students with disabilities need to furnish a disability certificate as
