The Redington
Foundation Sahayog Scholarship exemplifies the company’s commitment to
social upliftment through education. Rolled out as a part of Redington’s
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and executed in partnership
with the Vidyasaarathi portal, this scholarship program seeks to reduce
financial obstacles for students from economically weaker sections. The focus
is particularly on children of truck drivers and students from select colleges
and regions, ensuring that deserving youth can pursue undergraduate studies
without fiscal strain.

The overarching goal of the
Sahayog Scholarship is to democratize access to higher education, enabling
talented students—regardless of background or means—to achieve their academic
and career ambitions. By targeting vulnerable groups and underserved regions,
the initiative addresses critical gaps in the higher education landscape,
nurturing the next generation of professionals with a spirit of inclusivity and
opportunity.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to
all genders and is purposefully structured for:
- General Undergraduate Students: Those
enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program from specified colleges,
namely:
- Sri SRNM College, Satur
- Sanakara Arts & Science College,
Kancheepuram
- SDNB Vaishnav College, Chrompet,
Chennai
- SCSVMV University, Kancheepuram
- Children of Truck Drivers: Special
preference is given to applicants from Gummidipoondi (Tamil Nadu) and
Uluberia (West Bengal).
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must have scored a minimum
of 60% marks in Class 12.
- Must be enrolled in a full-time
undergraduate course (any stream) at an institution recognized by
AICTE/NAAC/UGC/ Government.
- Annual family income should be less
than ₹5,00,000.
- Applicants must hold a valid bank
account in their own name.
- Employees of Redington Ltd. and their
children are not eligible.
Scholarship Benefits
Every selected student
receives a financial award of ₹15,000,
which is intended to help defray the costs of tuition, books, and other
academic expenses. This tangible support reflects Redington Foundation’s belief
in the transformative power of education as a means to foster both individual
and societal progress.
Application Essentials
Applicants are required to
provide:
- Recent passport-sized photo
- Proof of identity and address
- Proof of income (parent’s or guardian’s)
- Student’s bank passbook/kiosk copy
- Marksheets of Class 10 and 12
- Current year fee receipt or fee
structure
- Bonafide certificate from the current
institution
- Latest college marksheet (except for
first-year students)
- For the Truck Driver category: Parent’s
driving license
- Optional: PAN card
Renewal applicants need
to submit updated income proof, previous year’s marksheet, current year’s fee
receipts, bonafide certificate, and bank account proof.
Important Dates and Selection
- Last Date to Apply: 29 August 2025
- Applicants will be shortlisted based on
fulfillment of eligibility criteria and the strength of their supporting
documents. Priority is accorded to merit, need, and regional focus.
