The Coal India Limited

Who Can Apply? — Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must satisfy a
rigorous set of requirements to ensure that benefits reach the most deserving:
- Citizenship: Must be an Indian
citizen.
- Parental Affiliation: Must be a
child/ward of an ECL employee.
- PAP Status: Belong to the Project
Affected People or Project Affected Family category.
- Course & Institution: Enrolled
full-time in an undergraduate Engineering or Medicine program at a
government-owned institution (such as IITs, NITs, or equivalents).
- Academic Merit: Should have a high
entrance exam rank (IIT/AIEEE or equivalent), and must have secured
a rank between 1–20 in Class X or XII board exams (Madhyamik/ICSE/CBSE
or H.S./I.Sc./CBSE).
- Age: Should be under 25 years old.
- Exclusive Support: Not a recipient
of any other scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
Selected students are
eligible for comprehensive support:
- Tuition Fee Waiver: All tuition
costs borne by the scholarship.
- Hostel Fee Waiver: Hostel
accommodation covered for the duration of the program.
- Incidental Expenses: An additional
allowance of up to ₹10,000 to
assist with books, supplies, and other costs.

- Income Certificate
- Character Certificate

- Class 12 Marksheet
- IIT Entrance Exam Scorecard

- Deadline: All applications must be
completed and submitted by 30 November 2025.
- Applications that do not include the
full suite of required documents, or that fail to meet eligibility and
merit criteria, will not be considered.
