The Dhrithi Foundation,
based in Mangaluru, stands as a committed advocate for educational empowerment,
recognizing that education is the cornerstone of nation-building. By fostering
responsible, thoughtful, and enterprising citizens, the Foundation aims to
address the persistent challenges of illiteracy and declining educational
standards that continue to affect India, even decades after independence.
ADDRESSING EDUCATIONAL GAPS
Despite widespread
recognition of education’s importance, more than half of India’s population
remains illiterate. Many schools and colleges, especially in rural and
semi-urban areas, are under-resourced and face a shortage of qualified staff,
leading to a decline in educational quality. The Dhrithi Foundation seeks
to counter these challenges by offering scholarships that empower talented yet
underprivileged students, helping them become productive members of society and
contributors to national progress.
