- Must be a young woman enrolled in a
professional undergraduate course in fields such as teaching, nursing,
pharmacy, medicine, engineering, architecture, law, and similar
disciplines.
- Applicants can be in any year of their
undergraduate program except the final year.
- Must have secured a minimum of 70% marks
in Class 10 and Class 12 examinations.
- The annual family income from all
sources should be below ₹5 lakh.
- Candidates from anywhere in India can
apply, reflecting the program’s inclusive national reach.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship amount
varies depending on the course of study, with funds disbursed annually for up
to four years (except in some cases). Specific benefits include:
- Teaching courses: ₹40,000
($500) per year for two years.
- Nursing and Pharmacy courses: ₹40,000
($500) per year for four years.
- Three-year courses such as BCA,
BSc, etc.: Up to ₹40,000 ($500) per year
for three years.
- Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Law,
Architecture, and similar courses: ₹60,000
($750) per year for four years.
The scholarship covers a
comprehensive range of educational expenses, including tuition fees, admission
fees, examination fees, books, hostel and mess charges, uniforms, digital
devices like laptops and mobiles, and even includes a monthly allowance.
Required Documents
Applicants are required to
submit several documents as part of their application:
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and
passing certificates.
- Government-issued identity proof such as
Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driver’s license, or PAN card.
- Admission proof for the current academic
year (admission letter, fee receipt, or bonafide certificate).
- Family income proof documents (ITR,
Form-16, income certificate, or salary slips).
- Payment receipts for academic expenses
incurred.
- Bank account details of the applicant.
- Recent passport-sized photograph.
