Established to honor the vision of late industrialist O.P. Jindal, this scholarship embodies his belief that education, talent, and leadership are the cornerstones of a progressive society. Over the years, OPJEMS has become synonymous with academic brilliance and leadership grooming. Each year, up to 100 students are selected from 40–43 premier institutions in India, making the scholarship a mark of distinction among students at the country’s top engineering and management schools.

Coverage and Benefits

The scholarship offers significant financial assistance to help students pursue their degrees without financial stress. The benefits are:

• Management Students: ₹1,50,000 per student annually
• Engineering Students: ₹80,000 per student annually

This funding motivates students to focus wholeheartedly on academics, research, and skill development while stepping into leadership roles in college and beyond. More importantly, it symbolizes recognition of their dedication and excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

OPJEMS follows a transparent and merit-driven selection process. The eligibility requirements vary slightly for engineering and management institutions:

General Requirements:

• Applicants must be Indian citizens.
• The student must belong to a selected engineering or management institute listed under the OPJEMS program.

For Engineering Institutes:

• First-year students are chosen based on their entrance exam rank considered by their institute.
• Second-year students are assessed on academic performance in the previous year.
• Only students from Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Metallurgical engineering streams are eligible.
• The top three students from each eligible stream per year are shortlisted.

For Management Institutes:

• First-year students are selected based on their entrance exam rank considered by their institute.
• Second-year students are evaluated on their academic records from the previous year.
• The top ten students from each management institute per year are considered.

This distinction ensures that the program identifies not just high scorers, but also consistent performers with leadership potential.

Applicants must submit the following documents as part of the application process:

• Aadhaar Card
• SSLC & PUC Marks Sheets
• Fee Receipt / Admission Proof
• Bonafide Certificate from Institution
• Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
• Additional documents, if requested by the authorities
