Aspire Scholarship Program 2025 Applications Open

 

The Aspire Scholarship Program 2024-25 is a distinguished Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by SWAYAM Charitable Trust, founded by Dr. Ajai Chowdhry and his family. Designed to break financial barriers faced by talented but underprivileged students, this scholarship empowers first-year B.Tech. entrants across 11 of India’s premier engineering institutions. The program goes beyond academic recognition, offering holistic support for academic expenses including tuition, hostel, food, and related essentials.

SCHOLARSHIP HIGHLIGHTS

• Target Group: First-year B.Tech. students at select engineering colleges
• Number of Awards: 28 scholarships per year, based on actual institutional fee structures
• Duration: Renewable for up to four years, contingent on annual criteria fulfillment
• Coverage: Tuition fees, hostel and mess fees, and other compulsory academic expenditures

Candidates must secure admission in one of the following prestigious institutions:

• Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-Kharagpur)
• Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-Hyderabad)
• Indian Institute of Technology Patna (IIT-Patna)
• Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi)
• Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-Bombay)
• Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT-Goa)
• Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur
• Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-Delhi)
• Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology Naya Raipur (IIIT NR)
• Jabalpur Engineering College
• National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (NIAMT, Ranchi).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Admission: Must be enrolled in the first year of a B.Tech. program at any of the listed 11 institutions
• Family Income: Annual family income from all sources should not exceed INR 6 lakh
• Other Scholarships: Applicants must not be covered under any other scholarship scheme (self-declaration required)
• Exclusions: Children of employees from SWAYAM Charitable Trust, Buddy4Study, and associated organizations are not eligible.

APPLICATION AND DOCUMENTATION

Applicants must submit the following documents online:

• Government-issued identity proof (Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/Driving License/PAN Card)
• Proof of admission for the current academic year (fee receipt, admission letter, institution ID, or bonafide certificate)
• Bank account details of the applicant
• Valid proof of annual family income
• Recent passport-size photograph
• Statement of Purpose (~500 words): Immediate and long-term goals, institution and field choice rationale
• Passing certificates and marksheets of Class 10th and 12th
• Proof of date of birth

Deadline: Applications must be submitted by 1st August 2025.

SELECTION AND IMPACT

Scholars are selected through a transparent, merit-based process overseen by a dedicated jury. Once awarded, recipients get comprehensive financial support directly aligned with their actual educational costs. The scholarship is renewable each year, provided the students continue to meet academic and program requirements.

For many talented students from low-income backgrounds, admission into a top engineering institute is only half the battle—managing hefty academic expenses often poses an insurmountable obstacle.
