SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Overseas Education 2024-25 Applications Open

 

The SBIF Asha Scholarship Program for Overseas Education 2024-25, one of India's largest scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under its education vertical - Integrated Learning Mission (ILM). This program aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education. This scholarship is open to SC/ST students pursuing a master’s or above course (any year) at a premier university/college outside India. Selected students can receive a scholarship of up to INR 20 lakh for a year to support their educational endeavors.

ABOUT SBI FOUNDATION

SBI Foundation is the CSR arm of the State Bank of India. Upholding its tradition of service beyond banking, the Foundation operates in over 28 States and Union Territories of India, focusing on Rural Development, Healthcare, Education, Livelihood & Entrepreneurship, Youth Empowerment, Promotion of Sports, and more. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Criteria	Details
Nationality	Must be an Indian citizen.
Category	Must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.
Academic Level	Must be pursuing a master’s or above course (any year) at a premier university/college outside India.
Academic Performance	Must have secured 75% marks or above in the previous academic year.
Family Income	Gross annual family income should be up to INR 6,00,000. Preference is given to those with a family income of up to INR 3,00,000 per annum.
University/College Ranking	Premier universities/colleges outside India must be listed in reputed world rankings such as QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

NOTE

• 100% of the slots for overseas education will be reserved for SC/ST scholars.
• Applicants must secure admission before being awarded the scholarship.
• The deadline for application submission is 31st March 2025.
