The Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship 2025-26 is a prestigious opportunity aimed at supporting students from developing countries who lack financial means to pursue higher education. This scholarship enables outstanding students to enroll in master’s or Ph.D. programs at reputable institutions of their choice. The selected candidates receive coverage for tuition fees and living expenses for the entire duration of their course.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible for the Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Citizenship	Must be a citizen of one of the eligible countries: India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Egypt, France, Kenya, Kyrgyz Republic, Madagascar, Mozambique, Pakistan, Portugal, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Uganda, the United States
Education Level	Must be enrolled in a master’s or Ph.D. degree at a reputable institution
Academic Excellence	Must have excellent academic records
Funding Plan	Must have a reliable, multi-source funding plan
Additional Qualifications	Must demonstrate professional experience, extracurricular achievements, volunteer contributions, and leadership skills

Note:

• Preference will be given to young professionals under 30 years of age.
• Priority is given to master’s degree courses, but Ph.D. applications are also considered.
• Local/regional universities and distance learning programs are acceptable if they maintain high-quality education standards.

Loan Structure	50% of the scholarship is a grant, and 50% is a repayable loan
